About the Event

The University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire will host the 6th edition of Cellopalooza!!!

A cello festival on Saturday March 14th, 2020

Cello masterclasses and ensemble clinics will be taught by UWEC cello professor Dr. Tulio Rondón, guest artist professor Luis Miguel Rojas, and guest Alumni Mr. Brandon Ruef, and our own Eau Claire school and private teachers, Ms. Soma Pierce-Smit, Ms. Rose Moua, and Mr. Dean Langby.

This event was created to celebrate the violoncello, the BEST instrument in the world! 

The day will culminate with all participating cellists performing on stage together at 4:00 pm in Gantner Hall, at the Haas Fine Arts Center of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. 

Any cellist, elementary through high school is welcome to participate.  Simply register online and arrive at the lobby of the Haas Fine Arts Center, located at 121 Water Street, Eau Claire, at 8 am on Saturday, March 14th, 2020.  There will be a registration fee of $20 for lunch and a day of cello!
